Caleb Plant had no trouble in what turned out to be another complete mismatch.

Caleb Plant returned home to Nashville tonight for an IBF super middleweight title defense, and the 27-year-old fighter retained his belt against mandatory challenger Vincent Feigenbutz in a completely one-sided bout.

Plant (20-0, 12 KO) won every round en route to a 10th round mercy stoppage of the badly overmatched Feigenbutz (31-3, 28 KO), who never gave “Sweethands” a lick of real trouble.

Feigenbutz, 24, has to be given credit for toughness, as Plant battered him throughout the fight with combination punching, and hurt him repeatedly in the ninth, while also busting his nose.

In the 10th round, Plant continued to completely dominate, and eventually referee Malik Waleed had simply seen enough, calling a fair halt to the fight at 2:23.

It’s the second easy title defense for Plant since he won the belt 13 months ago over Jose Uzcategui, following a similar beatdown job on Mike Lee last July.

But Plant wants to do something bigger next, making a challenge toward WBC titleholder David Benavidez, a fellow PBC fighter.

“I felt great,” Plant said. “I was relaxed, sharp, I told you guys I was gonna stop this fight before the 12th round. Everybody knows I want that unification fight with David Benavidez. I’ve been wanting that fight, I’ve been asking for it, and I’m tired of waiting.”
