Francis Ngannou shares fiery response to Dana White

Tempers are flaring between Francis Ngannou and Dana White.

Historically, ‘The Predator’ hasn’t had a publicly smooth relationship with any of his employers, and the UFC CEO is no different. Despite being a champion and having just beaten the then-undefeated Ciryl Gane, the company decided not to re-sign the African powerhouse. At the time, questions were being asked of White and Co. for their reluctance to renegotiate with the best heavyweight fighter in the world back to their promotion, but time has revealed all. It seems what is believed to be a personal feud goes much deeper.

Dana White has openly announced his displeasure about working with Francis Ngannou. During a recent interview, White paralleled his decade-long hatred for Oscar De La Hoya to his feelings toward Ngannou.

White pulled no punches, calling the 40-year-old a bad man and confirming he would never work with him again. The comments got Ngannou’s attention, who turned to social media to respond.

“Saying the guy that I spent over three years and a lot of money in law firms building an escape plan to get away from,” Ngannou wrote in his response to White. “Meanwhile, he was doing everything in his power to ensure I was never free.”

“You have to take that loss; it is irreversible.”

Francis Ngannou hasn’t competed under the UFC banner since 2022. He has since gone on to have two boxing bouts against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, making an eye-watering amount of money.

Financially secure and aged 40, many would expect Ngannou to bring an end to his career. While the end could be nigh, the knockout artist has fought twice in the last two years. His only fight with the PFL saw him earn a first-round knockout of the menacing Renan Ferreira. Ngannou would later be added to the MVP MMA 1 card on Netflix, where he collided with fellow UFC alum Philipe Lins. Ngannou again earned a first-round stoppage.
