Ciryl Gane vs. Josh Hokit fight for heavyweight title at UFC 334

Ciryl Gane will defend his UFC heavyweight title against Josh Hokit at UFC 334.

Confusion filled the air once Tom Aspinall vacated his title due to injury earlier this month. Dana White announced that Gane was not going to be promoted from interim to undisputed UFC champion, but he misspoke. The Frenchman is now the official UFC heavyweight champion and will be making his first defense of the throne against the controversial but incredibly skilled Josh Hokit.

After months of angling for a shot at the title, Hokit has got his wish. The matchup was formally announced during the UFC 331 broadcast, which promises to be a major shakeup in the division. Come November, clarity will prevail. Either Josh Hokit or Ciryl Gane will walk away as the head of the table at heavyweight, with former champion Tom Aspinall’s imminent return still in doubt.

He will headline UFC 334 on Saturday, November 14. The event is being held at the world-famous Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.
