UFC Shanghai Weigh-In Results and Video: Three fighters miss weight

The official UFC Shanghai: Nurmagomedov vs. Song weigh-ins took place on Thursday in China. The event takes place at Shanghai Indoor Stadium and is headlined by a bantamweight bout between No. 2 ranked Umar Nurmagomedov and No. 6 ranked Song Yadong. The event will mark the promotion’s third visit to Shanghai.

Nurmagomedov hit the scales first and officially weighed 135.5 pounds. Yadong came in slightly heavier at 136.

Three fighters failed to make weight. Flyweight Andre Lima weighed in one pound above the 126-pound flyweight limit. Women’s flyweights Xiong Jingnan and Julia Polastri came in heavy, Xiong missing weight by one point and Polastri missing her mark 2.5 pounds. Lima was fined 20% of her fight purse. Both fights will proceed and planned.
