Page (25-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) enters on a three-fight winning streak, all by unanimous decision over Shara Magomedov, Jared Cannonier, and Sam Patterson.

Ruziboev (37-9-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) also rides a three-fight streak, with a pair of stoppages of Eric McConico and Andrey Pulyaev, and a decision over Dustin Stoltzfus.

Since it's impossible for Mick Maynard to construct a Fight Night main card without slotting middleweights somewhere in the mix, the Parisians and Paramount+ viewers alike will be treated to an amalgamation at 185 pounds between former welterweights Michael Page and Nursulton Ruziboev.

I have no idea why the UFC matchmakers finally signed Page if they were just going to keep him between weight classes on random international cards against random international opponents, but I digress.

Ruziboev, to his credit, is steadily trying to improve on his length-dependent opportunism by training with Marquez MMA and company stateside. Should Ruziboev catch Page on an exit or find his way to the floor with his foe, then be prepared to see an upset.

But with this being Page's possible last contracted fight with the UFC, I'm hoping we get to see some vintage "MVP."

Despite the heavy trap-fight feels I'm getting, I'll pick Page to finally get the finish he's been searching for by sparking out Ruziboev in Round 2.
