Khamzat Chimaev makes easy work of Tyron Woodley at RAF Moscow

Khamzat Chimaev proved why he’s one of the most feared grapplers in the UFC, with a flawless performance against Tyron Woodley at RAF Moscow on Saturday.

’Borz’ suffered the first defeat of his mixed martial arts career last time out, losing a split decision to Sean Strickland, and subsequently losing his UFC middleweight title. Refining his skills in the freestyle wrestling world, Chimaev has since scored a dominant win over Dillon Danis, and furthered his success on the mats this weekend.

Making a step up from Danis, Khamzat Chimaev was colliding with Tyron Woodley. An NCAA Division I veteran, Woodley threatened to pose a serious threat to Chimaev’s spotless Real American Freestyle record. A fighter backed by true pedigree in both the wrestling and mixed martial arts worlds, Woodley wanted to put his difficult run in combat sports of one win in eight behind him with a statement victory.
