UFC champ Sean Strickland shares harrowing video after surviving high-speed crash: We rolle

Sean Strickland narrowly escaped disaster in a motor vehicle for the second time.

The UFC middleweight champion took to social media Monday night, sharing that he had just been involved in a crash going 60 miles per hour. Visibly dirty and bruised, Strickland described that his friend, Chris, was the driver and that Strickland had hit his head on the ground without a helmet on.

On Tuesday, Strickland posted video of the accident and immediate aftermath, with Strickland’s friend seen driving and then going unconscious upon exiting the vehicle.

Said Strickland:

"I'm in a real bad place .F***. I let my buddy drive. He rolled us going like 60. We rolled like six times. That was from my head smacking the ground going 60. Did not have a helmet on. Idiot.

I think I'm gonna lay here and take a nap for a little bit. A little shut eye will do me right."

Aside from some visible scratches and possible bruising, Strickland and his friend seem to have miraculously walked away unscathed.

Strickland wound up posting a follow-up update that revealed he and his other friends took Chris to the hospital.

"I think I'm OK. Chris went a little unconscious for a bit. He's in the hospital, but he's gonna be alright. He just went asleep for a little bit.”

"Honestly, the most f***ing fun I've had in a long time. My wallet's a little sore. But Rainbet did say they'd cover it, so that's nice. That was the most fun thing I've done in a very long time. I hope Chris is OK. I've never seen anybody go unconscious before. That was interesting."

The crash wasn't Strickland's first encounter with a motorized near-death experience. In December 2018, Strickland, now 35, infamously crashed into a van while riding his motorcycle. He was immediately hospitalized and knocked unconscious from the impact, suffering major damage to his knee that required surgery and kept him out of UFC competition for two years.

Since then, Strickland has become a two-time UFC champion. He last fought in May, when he dethroned former champion Khamzat Chimaev via split decision.
