Jake Paul hit with $10 million lawsuit
Heather Hardy has come down hard on Jake Paul and Most Valuable Promotions.
The former women’s WBO featherweight champion had a respectable career in the ring, bowing out of the sport with a 24-3 record. But during her time competing, one mistake may have led to a serious traumatic brain injury. In financial straits, Hardy took an unnecessary rematch with the surging Amanda Serrano. The pair had already met in their careers four years earlier, where Serrano earned a unanimous decision victory back in 2019. Serrano repeated her success in the rematch, but an aged 41-year-old was unable to take the damage late in her career.
This allegedly led to her experiencing symptoms eerily similar to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). Believing Jake Paul and MVP used her despite knowing the severe risks of neurological harm, Heather Hardy has decided to sue. Claiming the fight ended her career and made her unable to maintain regular employment in retirement, Heather said she will seek $10 million in damages.
“I’m suing Jake Paul for $10 million. I was the first alive person diagnosed with CTE,” Hardy said. “I want to thank everyone who so generously donated, it’s going to a very good cause. I’m not allowed to discuss the case but I have a great team of 5 lawyers who are fighting so hard for me.”

Fans were divided upon hearing the news. Some sided with Heather Hardy, who will likely never be the same if her claims are true. Others said she was lying, trying to extort Jake Paul and Most Valuable Promotions amid recent success.
In response to the comments, Hardy posted a separate post on social media. She further explained the lawsuit and believes her case is strong.
“This message is to my friends, my fans, my supporters, and my followers, and even to my haters. I have a team of doctors and a team of lawyers; very, very good ones. And when I say team, I mean a team,” Hardy added. “And they’re working behind the scenes, and they wouldn’t have taken this case if I didn’t have a case.”
“There’s a lot of things that I’m not allowed to talk about online, and a lot of things, bits of information that’s known behind closed doors- that fans and supporters just don’t know about. So, unless you’re a doctor or a lawyer and you have access to my case and my medical records, then probably you should not be in the comments and mind your business. And to my friends and fans and everyone who’s helped me, thank you so much.”
