Ex-champ on Movsar Evloev: How the f*ck is he still in the UFC?

Demetrious Johnson isn't the biggest fan of Movsar Evloev's fighting style.

Evloev (20-0 MMA, 10-0 UFC) challenges featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski (28-4 MMA, 15-3 UFC) in the UFC 333 main event on Oct. 24 from Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi (Paramount+).

Prior to signing with the UFC, Evloev had finished seven of his 10 professional fights. However, since then, all 10 of Evloev's octagon wins have come by decision. Former UFC flyweight champion Johnson wonders how Michael Page was let go by the UFC for his performances but not Evloev.

"Well, something came into my mind: You say he's undefeated, 20-0, no finishes. How the f*ck is he still in the UFC?" Johnson said on his "Precision Podcast." "Like, they just cut MVP. But you think about it, the UFC is so gung-ho, cutting people who aren't exciting, no knockouts, and it's like, they just got rid of MVP, you know.

"He's not knocking people out, but he is doing some flashy sh*t in there. Movsar Evloev does know how to win, but that's the thing that came to mind when you say he's undefeated with no knockouts. I'm like, how the f*ck is he still here? Not even a submission? F*ck!"

Volkanovski acknowledged that Evloev's long road to a UFC title shot was likely due to his lack of finishes. He then went onto say that he feels bad for how the UFC and fans treat his opponent.
