Michael “Venom” Page flatters to deceive in UFC Paris victory

Searching for a knockout to force his way back into the UFC’s good books, Michael “Venom” Page failed to deliver, despite coming out with a unanimous decision victory.

On the final fight of his UFC contract, ‘MVP’ likely needed to make a statement to continue what he started in the octagon. Most would believe five wins out of six would be enough to earn a bigger contract with the sports premier promotion, but his performances since making the switch over to the octagon have left much to be desired.

For years, Michael “Venom” Page was considered the hottest property outside of the UFC. Often delivering a viral knockout during his days with Bellator, the kick-boxer has failed to translate those displays into the UFC since making his debut in 2024.

Now, with the weight of the world on his shoulders at UFC Paris, Page secured the unanimous decision win. But, was it enough for a contract renewal? Unlikely.

After losing the first round, the 39-year-old rallied back and point fought his way to a stale victory. While the Brit failed to stun, he has an 83% win ratio in the promotion, confirming himself as a true contender in the weight class.

Will the UFC consider his success an asset to the company or will Page be given the Muhammad Mokaev treatment?
