No trash talk: Salahdine Parnasse just wants to fulfill dream vs. Max Holloway

Salahdine Parnasse is ready to take on the upper echelon of the UFC's lightweight division.

Parnasse (24-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) made quick work of Dan Hooker (24-15 MMA, 14-11 UFC) in Saturday's UFC Fight Night 287 main event at Accor Arena.

Not only did former two-division KSW champion Parnasse call for a top five opponent, but he's specifically interested in ex-UFC champ Max Holloway (28-9 MMA, 24-9 UFC).

"I want to fight Max Holloway because he's a legend," Parnasse told UFC News. "This is not trash talking, this is just a dream that I've had for a long time, and out of respect, I really want to face a legend like Max."

Parnasse headlined a UFC event in his promotional debut. However, no octagon jitters were present when he landed a body kick which hurt Hooker, followed by a perfect left hook to finish the fight in the first round.

"Every fight is a different kind of pressure, and tonight was no different against Dan Hooker – so I've really put myself in the top 10," Parnasse said. "I threw the kick and then I threw a punch, and to be honest with you, I've got to re-watch the fight, but I don't remember exactly everything."
