BKFC 94 results: Darren Till outpoints Yoel Romero, has fiery exchange with Lorenzo Hunt

Darren Till pulled off a big bareknuckle victory over Yoel Romero, and may be heading for a title fight next.

After five rounds, the judges needed to decide the winner, and they unanimously favored Till with 49-46 scores. The fight between former UFC title challengers served as the headliner of BKFC 94, which took place at AO Arena in Manchester, England.

Both were cautious to commit as the feel-out process unfolded in a largely uneventful opening round. Till worked from distance, popping out a rangy jab that connected well.

Romero came out quickly in Round 3, closing the distance and working his way into a clinch. He ducked his head as he charged forward with looping shots over the top. Till did well to circle away from danger to keep the fight at distance, but Romero continued to close in and blasted Till with a right hand before the bell, dropping him to one knee and opening a cut under his right eye.

From that point forward, Till's range continued to prevail, despite Romero's efforts to close the distance and make it a dirty fight. There were a few intense moments in the clinch with short uppercut exchanges, but Till's work on the outside scored well, leading to the unanimous decision victory.

"I'm f*cking feeling on top of the world," Till said during his post-fight interview.

BKFC champion Lorenzo Hunt was brought into the ring, asked for his thoughts on the fight, and was very critical of Till's performance.

"You fought like a bitch tonight," Hunt said.

His comments prompted a back-and-forth argument on the mic, setting up a teaser for what could be the next fight for both men.

With the win, Till improves to 2-0 under the BKFC banner, while remaining undefeated in combat sports since exiting the UFC in 2022. Romero falls to 1-1 in BKFC as his post-UFC career continues across various combat sports disciplines.
