T.J. Dillashaw wants a step up in competition for Payton Talbott after UFC 332.

Talbott (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) defeated his second straight former UFC champion when he finished Deiveson Figueiredo (25-8-1 MMA, 14-8-1 UFC) by first-round TKO in this past Saturday's co-headliner at Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

Dillashaw broke down Talbott's win while watching the fight.

"Look at the reach advantage, the height," Dillashaw said of Talbott on the "JAXXON PODCAST." "Talbott is a very long fighter. He has a two-and-a-half inches (advantage) on him, still makes a big difference, he's got great timing, he saw everything. Deiveson holds his hands a little bit too wide. He's got this lean-back style, his hands are a little bit too wide as he comes in, especially being the shorter fighter.

"He was going for a leg kick, and Talbott just saw it and pieced him up with a one-two down the middle, which started everything. After then, Deiveson couldn't really get his feet back underneath him. At least he's throwing back, kept him in the fight, but it was only a matter of time because Talbott saw everything. Almost kneed his face off when he shot in for this shot. It was so close to getting him."

Talbott called out Sean O'Malley after the fight. While Dillashaw agrees that he likely won't get the matchup, he sees Marlon Vera as a great suggestion.

"He looked real good," Dillashaw said of Talbott. "I'd love to see him against a top fighter now. I like that fight (Vera). I actually like it for 'Chito,' too."
