Raoni Barcelos discharged from hospital, Dana White shoots down any talk of UFC return

UFC bantamweight veteran Raoni Barcelos was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday night, several days after his frightening knockout loss to Raul Rosas Jr. atop the UFC Vegas 121 fight card last weekend in Las Vegas.

Don’t worry, he’s DOING GREAT!

“Discharged from the hospital and with my family!” Barcelos (22-6) wrote on Instagram. “I want to thank everyone for the affection, prayers, and positive vibes! God is our victory!”

It may be a victory with God, but it’s a KO loss with Nevada Athletic Commission.

“Thank God he’s doing well,” UFC CEO Dana White told reporters at the “Contender Series” presser. “He’s doing well and he’s up, walking around, talking. It goes right in line with everything I always talk about and what we do. All the pre-fight medicals were triple-checked. Everything was good. There were six doctors here that night, three ambulances. He was taken straight to the trauma center, not to Valley (Hospital Medical Center). Everything was done the right way. The outcome was good.”

Barcelos, 39, may not agree with that assessment if White prevents him from making his UFC return.

“Not even thinking about that,” White said about the Brazilian’s comeback. “Who gives a sh*t? As long as the kid is okay.”

Barcelos may give a sh*t, depending on his monthly bills.
