UFC Vegas 124 predictions for Cortes-Acosta vs. Walker
UFC Vegas 124: Cortes-Acosta vs. Walker takes place on Saturday, November 7, at Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Here are our picks for all 14 fights on the card.

UFC Vegas 124 Main Card Preview & Picks
Heavyweight bout: Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs. Johnny Walker
The main event of UFC Vegas 124 is a heavyweight slugfest between Cortes-Acosta and Walker that won’t need the full five rounds that it’s booked for.
With Cortes-Acosta having superior durability and huge knockout power in his fists, he should knock Walker out and get back into the win column after suffering two straight losses.
Pick: Waldo Cortes-Acosta via TKO
Women’s strawweight bout: Tatiana Suarez vs. Virna Jandiroba
The co-main event of UFC Vegas 124 between Suarez and Jandiroba could very well determine the next No. 1 contender for UFC women’s strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern.
This should be a very competitive bout, but I like Suarez to win a close decision and earn a title shot.
Pick: Tatiana Suarez via decision
Bantamweight bout: Davey Grant vs. Elijah Smith
This could be the Fight of the Night as both Grant and Smith are always in exciting bouts for the fans.
But with Smith being 16 years younger and the superior wrestler, I like him to win a decision in this fight.
Pick: Elijah Smith via decision
Light heavyweight bout: Billy Elekana vs. Lucas Fernando
I like Elekana a lot, but Fernando is the real deal, and someone that fans need to watch out for at 205 lbs, as his striking is about as elite as it gets.
Go with Fernando to win this fight by third-round knockout after he softens up Elekana with body shots.
Pick: Lucas Fernando via TKO
Women’s bantamweight bout: Priscila Cachoeira vs. Nina Milosevic
Milosevic is one of the top women’s bantamweight prospects, and she has a very favorable matchup here against Cachoeira, a veteran on the decline who has lost her last three fights in a row.
Take Milosevic to submit Cachoeira in the first round.
Pick: Nina Milosevic via submission
Flyweight bout: Mitch Raposo vs. Marcos Degli
Raposo is one of the most underrated flyweights in the UFC, and I feel like he’s being undervalued here as an underdog against Degli, who is making his UFC debut.
Take Raposo to win a close decision as he picks up another upset win.
Pick: Mitch Raposo via decision
UFC Vegas 124 Preliminary Card Preview & Picks
Featherweight bout: Keiichiro Nakamura vs. Ollie Schmid
Nakamura is one of the top young featherweight prospects in the UFC right now, while Schmid likely shouldn’t even be on the roster with a 4-3 record.
Go with Nakamura to knock Schmid out and send him packing from the UFC.
Pick: Keiichiro Nakamura via TKO
Heavyweight bout: Gabriel Lorenço vs. Thomas Petersen
Lorenço is making his UFC debut here and will look to show off his mammoth KO power against Petersen, a solid wrestler with a questionable chin.
Look for Lorenço to land a huge punch early in the fight and knock Petersen out in the first round.
Pick: Gabriel Lorenço via TKO
Women’s flyweight bout: Karine Silva vs. Gabrielle Fernandes
Silva and Fernandes are two solid women’s flyweight fighters who match up well for what should be a competitive fight that likely goes the distance.
But with Silva having the superior grappling, I think she grinds out a decision win.
Pick: Karine Silva via decision

Featherweight bout: Jose Delano vs. Murtazali Magomedov
One of my favorite fights on the card is this featherweight bout between two young fighters I am very high on: Delano and Magomedov.
While Magomedov can win this fight if he gets it to the ground, I think Delano will keep it standing and outstrike his opponent en route to a decision win.
Pick: Jose Delano via decision
Featherweight bout: Austin Bashi vs. Carlos Calderon
Bashi is one of the top featherweight prospects in the UFC, while Calderon took this fight on just a few days’ notice, filling in for the injured Lucas Brennan.
Look for Bashi to get this fight to the mat and submit Calderon in the second round.
Pick: Austin Bashi via submission
Middleweight bout: Mantas Kondratavicius vs. Andre Petroski
One of the biggest favorites on the card, Kondratavicius should have no problem taking care of business with Petroski, who has lost his last three fights in a row.
Take Kondratavicius to win this fight by first-round knockout.
Pick: Mantas Kondratavicius via TKO
Welterweight bout: Seokhyeon Ko vs. Wellington Turman
Ko has won two of his three UFC bouts and has looked strong overall in the promotion, while Turman has lost three straight and is close to flaming out of the UFC.
Look for Ko to use his wrestling and grind out a decision victory.
Pick: Seokhyeon Ko via decision
Welterweight bout: Jonny Parsons vs. Jose Souza
Parsons hasn’t fought since July 2023, and I’m sorry, but I just can’t pick someone coming off that long of a layoff who isn’t a championship-caliber MMA fighter.
Souza isn’t great, but he has a six-inch height advantage, a 10-inch reach advantage, and is 11 years younger, and I expect those biometrics to be key in a decision win for the Brazilian.
Pick: Jose Souza via decision
