Naoya Inoue, boxing’s No. 3-ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the world, is set to entertain once again as he defends his WBA (Super), IBF and The Ring bantamweight titles against Michael Dasmarinas.
The two will collide at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in Paradise, Nevada, and when they enter the ring, the champ, Inoue, will be a massive betting favorite. We have the Inoue vs Dasmarinas odds below.
Online sportsbook Bovada has released the Inoue vs Dasmarinas odds with Naoya listed as a huge -1800 favorite and Michael coming in as a +850 underdog. This means that you would have to wager $1,800 to profit $100 with an Inoue win while a $100 bet on a Dasmarinas victory would profit you $850.

Looking at the Inoue vs Dasmarinas odds, Naoya’s odds of -1800 represent an implied win probability of 94.74 percent while Michael’s +850 betting line has an implied win probability of 10.53 percent.
It’s not much of a surprise to see “The Monster” favored to this extent considering he is the No. 3-ranked pound-for-pound boxer in the world. Furthermore, Inoue has been favored in every fight that odds have been available for, in most cases as a four-digit favorite, though the -2200 line is his shortest since he fought Juan Carlos Payano four fights ago.
This is by far the biggest stage that “Hot and Spicy” has been on and, as such, this is the first time that a betting market has been available for one of his fights. This is also the first time that Dasmarinas has fought in America, with the bulk of his fights coming in Asia, mostly in his home country of the Philippines.
Dasmarinas has a massive uphill battle ahead of him but the southpaw is a worthy opponent. He carries a 30-2-1 record with 20 of those victories coming by way of knockout. That said, one of his defeats did come in the same manner, so he will have to be careful in this bout.
Hot and Spicy doesn’t have a ton of movement, rather slowly inching forward and standing a little flat-footed as he plants his feet looking to land a hard shot. He does a good job working the body throughout the fight and has the power to stop opponents to the body. However, the lack of movement makes him a sitting duck against faster fighters.
Quite simply, Dasmarinas is the mandatory challenger for the IBF but should be a very beatable opponent for Inoue. While Dasmarinas’ record is impressive, The Monster’s is unblemished at 20-0 with 17 victories coming by way of knockout.
In his first fight in America in over three years, Inoue had a knockout of the week performance against Jason Moloney when he last performed on Halloween in 2020. He has exceptional punching power that is matched with speed and outstanding fight IQ. Inoue sets traps for his foes and capitalizes brutally when he sees the opportunity.
Ultimately, I believe this should be a bit of a walk in the park for the No. 3-ranked pound-for-pound boxer in the world. This is an incredibly big step up in competition for Dasmarinas and with his approach of standing rather flat-footed looking to land heavy blows to put his opponent away, I think The Monster will dance circles around him and find his opportunity to end this bout in the first half of the scheduled rounds.
