Georges St-Pierre left stunned by homosexual sex debate
The world is full of unanswered questions that will likely never be human knowledge. Are we truly alone in the universe? What is the meaning of life? What, if anything, comes after death? All very good questions without a definitive answer, but Georges St-Pierre believes he has a better dilemma.
We are fast approaching a decade since we last saw St-Pierre grace the octagon. His last outing, which is likely his retirement bout, saw him capture the UFC middleweight title with an impressive win over Michael Bisping. In his time away from competing, ‘Rush’ has been busy. He has been putting in the work, venturing onto several different platforms to discuss various topics, and has now created his own: GSP Podcast. Unlike other podcasters, the Canadian is scarce with his episodes. He has just two public releases in the last month, but his latest is getting people talking.
Georges St-Pierre had PhD Sex Therapist Laurie Betito in the hot seat to delve deeper into relationships, sexuality, and other various topics. One that stood out above the rest was St-Pierre’s question to Betito. The UFC Hall of Famer wondered if a man having sexual intercourse with another man is automatically considered gay; the response may shock you.
“Do they identify as homosexual? Just because you’re having sex with a man doesn’t necessarily mean you’re homosexual,” Dr. Betito said. “I know that it’s hard to wrap your head around that. I know. But it’s also part of how a person identifies.”
Dr. Betito continued.
“Many people are going to argue this, obviously. Because, well, you’re having a d*** in your a**, you know, you must be gay. But the minute you have an image of a penis in a butt, that you think it equals gay… Maybe it sounds gay, but it’s not.”
