UFC abruptly cancels Nov. 7 main event

Well, this sucks.
No. 5-ranked welterweight contender Sean Brady has withdrawn from his UFC Vegas 124 main event against No. 6-ranked Gabriel Bonfim due to injury, giving the promotion roughly one week to cook up a replacement or find a new headliner altogether.
Brazilian journalist Laerte Viana first reported the change on Thursday.
The current UFC Vegas 124 co-main event is the strawweight battle between Virna Jandiroba and Tatiana Suarez, which may or may not be elevated to top billing. Other main card matchups include Seok Hyeon Ko vs. Wellington Turman (welterweight) and Davey Grant vs. Elijah Smith (bantamweight).
All due respect to the aforementioned combatants but none of those matchups scream “main event.”
No comment from either Brady or Bonfim at this time but in true MMA fashion, toxic fight fans are already bombing Brady in the comment section of his Instagram page to call him a piece of s—t for withdrawing from the Nov. 7 fight card at Meta Apex in Las Vegas.
Expect more details on this story as they develop.
